It is unfortunate that celebrity dermatologist Dr. Fredric Brandt passed away last week. Our condolences go out to him and his family. In memory of the tremendous work he has contributed to the skin care industry we are reviewing the Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion skin exofoliant.

dr_brandt_microdermabrasion_skincare_exfoliant_facial_scrubMicrodermabrasion professional treatments are supposed to soothe off all roughness from your skin. The dr. brandt microdermabrasion product did just that — microdermabrasion in your own home. The key is their use of these extremely fine scrubbing exfoliants (pharmaceutical grade alumina crystals) which gently polish down your skin like ultra fine sand paper on a piece of wood. The fineness of the scrubbing crystals enables skin to get smooth without any pain and helps diminish the appearance of fine lines, acne marks, and skin discolorations.

Other key ingredients used in this exfoliating cream are Chamomile (calms, soothes, and reduces irritation), Aloe vera (soothes inflammation and prevents scarring), Jojoba (a vegetable oil that softens the skin), and Lactic Acid (AHA to exfoliate dead skin cells).

The scent of the product is unisex in smell…faint but not irritating. The texture of the product feels like picking up the wet fine white sand off the beaches of The Seychelles.

This dr. brandt microdermabrasion product is a winner and one of the best performing facial scrubs we have ever used. There is no pain encountered during the circular scrubbing motions and skin gets ultra smooth. We are not surprised this product won the 2012 Allure Best of Beauty “Best Scrub” award. Priced at $78 for 2 oz / 60 g, it is worth every dime and should be used once every few days.
