OROGOLD Cosmetics was formed in 2008 and has grown to be a popular luxury skin care brand with over 100 stores worldwide. Their products are based off the beauty benefits of gold. We are reviewing the Orogold 24K Deep Day Moisturizer Cream.

orogold_24k_deep_day_moisturizer_cream_skincareThe Orogold cream reeks of luxury. That is the first impression we had of this product. It is nicely packaged in a sphere shaped pod adorned with impressive shiny gold silk screening. The scent is faint and very feminine. But for men using the product, it’s not too much of a distraction as the fragrance goes away after 10 seconds. The texture of the moisturizing cream is light and smooth and not heavy and thick like most face creams. It applies on extremely easy and silky. It’s not oily feeling and the product absorbs into the skin leaving it soft and supple.

The performance of the 24K Deep Day Moisturizer Cream is not bad. We would have liked it to have hydrated our skin for a longer period of time considering the expensive price point of $118 for 2 fl oz. The cream is more like a lotion. It was rather too light to be categorized as a face “cream”. Aside from pure 24K gold (not sure how much gold is actually in here), Vitamins E & C and green tea are used in the formula.

We wouldn’t rank the Orogold 24K Deep Day Moisturizer Cream to be in our the top anti-aging face creams / moisturizers list. It is simply too expensive for what you get and doesn’t even compare in product efficacy to our favored $48 TwinLuxe Anti-Aging SPF Moisturizer. Orogold did a fantastic job at marketing this product as a super high-end 24 Karat gold-infused gem but it fell short on its actual product performance.
