Review of JACK BLACK Beard Lube Conditioning Shave Cream with Jojoba & Eucalyptus

Jack Black skincare and shavecare products are found at virtually every department store in the USA. Their products provide any man with a decent shave experience without paying an arm or leg for them. The Jack Black Beard Lube shaving cream infused with Jojoba & Eucalyptus won the Men’s Health Grooming Award in 2011 and here is our product review of it:

Jack-Black-Beard-Lube-conditioning-shave-cream-with-eucalyptus-jojoba-product-reviewTo start off, this non-traditional shave cream is unlike any shaving foam or gel you have used. The multi-functioning Beard Lube functions as a pre-shave oil, a shave cream, and a facial skin treatment — sounds like a miracle shave product! Having a product which can serve so many functions, we had to closely look at the ingredient list. For pre-shave and shave protection, Macadamia Nut Oil, Jojoba Oil, and Glycerin help lubricate and cushion the skin. Phospholipids present help bind moisture to the skin and support the natural skin barrier. Peppermint, Eucalyptus, and Menthol help make skin feel refreshed and revitalized while Heather (Calluna Vulgaris Extract) calms and soothes skin.

After our two week review of the Jack Black Beard Lube, we can confidently say that this product does the job. The best aspect of this product is its ability to really soften the beard or moustache. This enabled our male staffers who have very thick and dense beards to not have to use so much pressure when gliding the blade onto the skin resulting in less shaving irritation and redness. We particularly enjoyed the cooling tickling on our face and neck when applying the Jack Black shave cream. The product felt like a smooth lightweight oil-free gel and our skin did feel more hydrated during the shave. Beard Lube does not lather and has a transparent color so it was hard to tell how much product we were applying on the skin. It doesn’t clog blades and rinses off extremely easy.

The only thing we strongly did not like about this Jack Black product was the fragrance. It smelled like oil paints. Since the product is very “watery” in consistency, we still feel that a traditional thick and slick cream will provide better protection from your blade.

Overall, the Jack Black Beard Lube Conditioning Shave with Jojoba & Eucalyptus gave us an excellent nourished shave. Priced at $33 for a super huge 16 oz. bottle, it will last you a lifetime. This shave cream is great for men wanting to try luxury shaving products but are hesitant to shell out the money. It’s not certainly the best performing shave cream out there but one that does what its advertised to do.
