Kiehl’s is a great example of a mass luxury skin care brand. Their products are found virtually at every upscale retail establishment and chances are you have also probably tried at least one of their products before. Today we will be reviewing the Kiehl’s Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate.

Kiehls-Powerful-Strength-Line-Reducing-Concentrate-skincareThis Kiehl’s concentrate has the following claims: “Clinically-demonstrated* to noticeably decrease the appearance of Marionette Lines, Crows Feets, and Sub-orbital wrinkles while improving skin texture and radiance.” This all sounds pretty great.

First of all, the Kiehl’s Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate is attractively packaged in a high quality amber colored glass bottle with an accurate dispenser (two thumbs up!). We found that after using this product morning and night, it softens and smoothes your skin instantly. Friends have also commented that our complexions looked more radiant. The product is scent-free and rich creamy in texture, making it feel a little “heavy” after application (we prefer “light” feeling products). And usually with all creams, there is some oiliness associated with it. So we do not recommend the Kiehl’s concentrate to anyone who has oily skin. Other reviewers of this product have said that the Kiehl’s concentrate is supposed to warm up your skin after application for a brief period, but we did not encounter this warming sensation.

The thing that makes this Kiehl’s product stand out from the rest is its Vitamin C 10.5% concentration. Yes 10.5% … a lot! Vitamin C is an antioxidant that slows the rate of free radical damage — great for anti-aging effects. We did see a slight improvement of diminishing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles after a two week usage period of it.

Priced at $58 for 1.7 oz, the Kiehl’s Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate is an overall potent product that offers great anti-aging benefits. The oiliness of the product is what we dislike about it and therefore we are not ranking it in the top 3 best anti-aging creams of 2013 category. We still prefer the TwinLuxe Anti-Aging SPF Moisturizer or the Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream as these two provide better performance results and are slightly cheaper in price than this Kiehl’s concentrate.
