I’m pretty shy when it comes to talking to friends about pubic hair and if any are catching up with the cool (and unusual?) trend of being clean-shaven down there. So I did some research on the internet and discovered some cool shaving tips on how to remove those curly hairs that seem to make me feel not so clean on a hot summer day.
But basically to sum it up, the best shaving products to use for pubic hair removal would be:
1) a very sharp blade
I’d stick with Gilette razors and blades since they spend billions on R&D.
2) a super slick and moisturizing shave cream
(preferrably a men’s luxury shaving cream since they are the most protective and nourishing to your skin)
3) a healing balm or lotion to soothe the clean shaven area afterwards.
Non-greasy and light moisturizers would be preferred. Use just enough in that area to moisturize and never over do it down there as that area should always be kept dry.

Any wet blade razor scrapes away not only the unwanted hair but also the top layer of your skin, the epidermis, from which the hair grows. This wet shaving damages the skin and causes the familiar shaver rash and shaver burn that millions complain of. The skin is trying to tell you it has been injured and not to shave like this again. Wet razor blade shaving is the primary cause of painful ingrown hairs as well as a razor used in the direction of hair growth makes the hair bend and lie down next to the skin and then the blade slices the end of the hair diagonally and not straight across. The thin sliced end then bends inwards and downwards and grows into the skin where it becomes infected.
Constant wet shaving can also produce changes in pigmentation resulting permanent skin discoloration for example in your underarms or bikini line.
NEVER shave wet with a razor blade, regardless of whether they have hydrating strips or not. This is just a smoke screen as these strips are effective for maybe one or two shaves and they and cost far too much. The multi bladed shaver cartridges too, are only as sharp as the first blade. Once the first blade becomes blunted the others are pretty much useless and you have to buy yet another expensive blade cartridge and these can cost well in excess of $125.00, over the course of a year.

I disagree with you. If you have the proper shaving tools and shave cream, wet shaving is perfectly safe for your skin and actually healthy for your skin as you scrape away the unwanted dead layers of the epidermis. Dry shaving is more damaging to your skin as your skin gets “scuffed” up from the electric blades because there is no lubcrication.
